Academic Research Program (ARP)
Our Academic Research Program is a waiver program aimed at supporting those who cannot attain Premium access but who require additional private space and intend to make their protocols public and publish their research upon completion.
protocols.io is free to read and publish for public knowledge, however, we recognise that some users may need to develop methods privately before publication. All users can have up to two free protocols, but if additional private protocol space is needed you can apply to see if you qualify for our ARP. Our waiver program is aimed at individuals and research groups that are on the cutting edge of research, but who need help with funding. Researchers from low-income countries (see the HINARI list from WHO) automatically qualify for a waiver, and we will assess other applicants on a case-by-case basis.
To apply for a waiver, please complete the form. We will assess all applications and we may follow-up with you if additional information is required before a decision can be made.
