Abstract
Loupe Browser Access via Momentum for GRC Spatial Workshop
Loupe Browser for Genomics Research Center Spatial Workshop
Loupe Browser for Genomics Research Center Spatial Workshop
Loupe Browser is a tool provided by 10X Genomics for analysis of Chromium and Visium/Visium HD datasets. It is provided as a free download at https://www.10xgenomics.com/support/software/loupe-browser/downloads. We will be utilizing it within the workshop for exploration of Visium HD data.

For non-URMC users, downloading this software will be your only way to participate in the walk through portion of the workshop. Additionally, you will need to download the demo dataset at https://www.10xgenomics.com/support/software/loupe-browser/downloads/lb-download-tutorial-loupe-files. Download the Loupe file listed under "HD Spatial Gene Expression - Colorectal Cancer Tutorial". Please note that the file size is 7.67 GB. We apologize for the inconvenience and recommend downloading the dataset prior to the workshop.
Momentum
Momentum
Momentum is a platform used to access university hosted softwares made available by the Office of Research IT (ORIT). Upon reasonable request, ORIT is able to host free software for deployment via remote resources.

You can log into Momentum via https://momentum.urmc-sh.rochester.edu/momentum, using your AD login.
Opening Loupe Browser
Opening Loupe Browser
After logging into Momentum, you will see Loupe Browser at the beginning of the 4th row. Or you can use the search bar. Choose Connect from your browser. Connect from your computer can be used as a backup option, but we've found it to be less stable than browser access.

If connecting via browser, you will be taken to an Apache Guacamole portal. Log in using your AD credentials. You will then need to perform a duo authentication and then you should have access to the browser.

If connecting via computer, a remote desktop file will be downloaded. When launching this file, you will be prompted for duo authentication and a desktop session will be configured. This may take some time.

If you are unable to connect using either method, you can also download the Loupe Browser from the 10X website and access the dataset using the following methods without additional downloads.
Loading in the Dataset - URMC Users

At this point, after entering via browser or computer, you should be ready to enter in the file path.

If you are using a Windows Computer - please enter the following into the file explorer address bar.
\\SMDNAS02.urmc-sh.rochester.edu\GRC_Workshop

If you are using a Mac - please do the following

Open new Finder window and "Connect to server" using Go

Within the box that pops up, enter the following.

Once you have accessed the shared drive, open the Visium_HD_Colorectal_Cancer_FFPE folder and select the Visium_HD_Human_Colon_Cancer_cloupe_008um.cloupe file.
