Abstract



Prelab
  1. Name and describe the 3 stages of PCR.
  2. Describe how gel electrophoresis is used to distinguish between DNA base pair lengths.
  3. What reagents are found in a PCR tube that is ready to be put into a thermocycler? What is each reagent's function in the experiment? Give a single sentence for each reagent.



Dry Lab Answers
Provide the information asked of you in the Dry lab for steps 3-6 & 8-11.

Give a picture of your gel electrophoresis results.


Post Lab
Write about a half a page on a recent article that used gel electrophoresis and give an analysis on what they did in the experiment and how gel electrophoresis played a role. Give DOI and the article's name.
