Abstract
This protocol is used to measure the water content of mouse fecal pellets over 1 hour.
Troubleshooting
Place mice in a clean cage and collect their fecal pellets produced over 1 hour.

Return mice to their home cage and weigh the fecal pellets (wet weight).

Desiccate the fecal pellets at 65oC for 19 hours then reweigh the fecal pellets (dry weight).
