Abstract
This protocol provides the basis for aged mouse acquisition and selection for brain tissue collection.
Troubleshooting
Case selection of aged mice
C57BL/6 Mice were acquired from the National Institute of Aging between 20-22 months old. The mice were housed in the vivarium for at least 2 weeks prior to tissue collection
Mice that demonstrated severe dermatitis were excluded from the study. Mice that exhibit overt splenomegaly at the time of necropsy are excluded from further analysis. Age at time of necropsy was 23-24 months old.
